New York City

As someone who likes to refer to themselves as an “avid traveler”, I have an advantage that most people don’t.  I live in one of the world’s most visited places – New York City.  I wasn’t born here or raised here, but I’ve been here long enough to be considered, at the very least, a non-native New Yorker.  So, it makes sense to me (seeing that I am here talking about my travels) that I should dedicate a fair amount of time to some of the more local travels that I am fortunate to participate in.  I will start with a series of 2 or 3 or however many pieces about some of the wonderful things I see every day here in the Big Apple.

Pretty much everyone has been to, seen on TV, or heard stories about NYC.  With New York City as my home base, I don’t often get traveler’s remorse about a vacation ending, since coming home means heading back to New York.  Much of what you’ve read or seen is perfectly accurate, and I will cover some of these quintessential New York things here.  However, there are a lot of places in the city that aren’t generally covered, and I hope to show you a few of those things as well.  Nothing illicit I assure you, but every town has its locals locales and New York City is no different.  We are just a little bit bigger, with a little more to do, and a lot more people from a lot of different places.
